Email support@ubuntuweather.co.za.
Please include your iPhone model, iOS version, and the app version (Settings tab in the app) — it makes diagnosing faster.
Weather data comes from the nearest reporting station, which can be a few kilometres away. We cross-check WeatherAPI and Open-Meteo readings and pick the more conservative value, but neither knows what's happening in your back garden.
Push notifications are a Premium feature. Make sure you're subscribed (Settings → Premium), notification permission is granted (iOS Settings → Ubuntu Weather → Notifications), and your location is allowed (iOS Settings → Ubuntu Weather → Location). Alerts only fire for warnings whose polygon covers your current coordinates.
iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Ubuntu Weather → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep premium access until the current billing period ends.
Open the app, swipe down to refresh on the home screen. If that doesn't work, force-quit the app and re-open. If it still doesn't work, email support@ubuntuweather.co.za with your Apple ID email so we can verify the purchase with RevenueCat.
The map follows whichever location you've pinned on the home screen (or your GPS if you haven't pinned one). Tap the location name on the home screen to switch.
Severe weather warnings are scraped from the South African Weather Service (SAWS) public website. Forecast data comes from WeatherAPI.com and Open-Meteo. Satellite imagery is from EUMETSAT. Map tiles are from OpenStreetMap. Tide predictions are from WeatherAPI's marine API.
